CGM Pay FAQ's

CGM Pay FAQ's

Length of end user contract, then does it auto-renew?  How long is each term? 3 years, with 1 year auto-renewals

What do the initial, service, support, monthly, per transaction fees look like? This is customer-by-customer. Global Payments works with customers to try and put forward the best possible deal to win the business which we know is based on both costs compared to their current solutions (if any), as well as the value of the integration and how it can save them time and improve payment velocity with extra features.
What kind of credit card equipment is needed to process transactions at POS?  Is this equipment free to new accounts or is there an initial fee or monthly 'rental' fee for it? Global Payments will work on device terms and pricing with each client. There are both rental and purchase options. The devices enabled for CGM PAY are their Engage line which include Verifone P400, Verifone e285, and Verifone M400.
Is it possible that a practice could just use CGM PAY for all online payment opportunities but go through a different merchant processor for in-office based credit card, debit card or check related transactions?  Or is it all Global Payments service or none? Yes, they can use more than one processor. But why? CGM PAY supports both virtual payment and in-office payment solutions so a split strategy may well result in: a) higher fees because they are sharing volume and cannot negotiate a better deal; b) time-wasting reconciliation at the end of each processing period/day; c) slower and more costly internal processes because a non-integrated solution requires manual entry and/or even if the other solution is integrated, it will have less functionality.
What is the anticipated time it takes to onboard a new account - from enrollment to go live? Refer to setup timeline slide. Most of this is on the client but it can be within weeks.
Who does the customer call for technical support - the VAR, Global Payments, CGM? VAR or Global Payments. VARs can escalate Tier 2 to CGM. CGM and Global Payments will work with each other as needed.
Are there any versions of CGM MEDISOFT or CGM LYTEC with which CGM PAY will not work?  Example:  Medisoft PM Basic version? Minimum versions are CGM MEDISOFT v29 and CGM LYTEC 2025. Please refer to the slides in this presentation to understand specific capabilities by system and CGM MEDISOFT level.
Does the client have to be using eMEDIX Statements? No. But it is highly recommended because of the integrations and if they do, it can help you grow your own revenue from the client.
