What is eMEDIX Claim Status
Claim status allows you to request the status of a claim or claims from a particular payor without having to contact them directly.
A request is always for a specific claim. You push the button to request status from a claim context. That triggers the charge.
For Claim Status, you can enter a range for the service date. If there is more than one claim within the entered date range, all claims will be returned. We would charge for the request (outbound), not the response. We count each claim status request as one. If the payer returns more than one claim, it is still one request.
